Gaijin Games has unveiled a game creation engine-platform called EdenSpark
The ranks of Roblox competitors have grown.
The new solution is positioned as a "platform for creating open-source console and PC games with an AI assistant."
"Users will be able to write code from scratch, utilizing AI-generated models and sound, or assemble games using simple prompts, incorporating their own graphics and stories," the announcement states.
According to the announcement, the framework will be a convenient game creation tool for both experienced programmers and complete newcomers to development. It supports development not only on PC but also on PS5 and Xbox Series. However, in the latter two cases, a keyboard will be required.
EdenSpark will serve not only as a tool but also as a gaming platform, a hub where projects will be published.
One of the key features of the project is the retention of code rights by the authors. This ensures that games created in EdenSpark can be published outside of the platform as well.
The framework itself is built on the latest version of the Dagor Engine, which was used to create Gaijin Games titles such as War Thunder, Enlisted, and Active Matter.
Closed testing for EdenSpark is scheduled for November of this year. An open beta test will take place in February, followed by the full release in the summer of 2026.
