Unity described the last quarter as a "turning point" thanks to the success of its new AI-based advertising platform

Unity has released its financial report for the second quarter. The company remains unprofitable, but it has high hopes for its new advertising platform.

  • In the second quarter, Unity earned $441 million, which is a 2% decrease year-over-year. However, the result exceeded expectations.
  • The Create Solutions segment (engine) grew by 2%, generating $154 million. The main drivers were the sale of temporary licenses and an increase in revenue from subscriptions.
  • Revenue from the Grow Solutions division (advertising) fell by 4% to $287 million, yet the Unity Ad Network segment demonstrated a robust growth of 15%.
  • Net losses decreased by 15% year-over-year, reaching $107 million.

Unity's CEO Matt Bromberg stated that "the second quarter of 2025 will be remembered as a turning point in the company's history." This is attributed to the successes of the new AI platform, Unity Vector.

Vector is an advertising platform based on several machine learning models. It can utilize data from the entire Unity ecosystem to enhance the efficiency of UA campaigns, analyze player behavior, and optimize ROAS. According to Unity, Vector can increase the number of installs by 15-20%.

Due to the demand for the new platform, the Unity Ad Network is now responsible for 49% of all revenue from Grow Solutions.
