Unity reveals recipients of its 2025 Humanity Grant

Unity has declared the recipients of its 2025 Unity for Humanity Grant, honoring ten developers from nine different nations.

The grant, now enhanced to a total of $600,000 by the Unity Charitable Grant, will be distributed among the winners.

This financial backing aims to facilitate project development, allow for the creation of working prototypes, and assist with marketing and distribution efforts.

Projects were assessed based on their alignment with global challenges as defined by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as criteria including vision, impact, inclusion, and feasibility.

A few of the victorious projects include those by Split Studio, Boland Parwaz, and World Ocean Observatory. Jubilee Studios garnered the most support in the final round for its app Small Talk ASL, an educational tool for American Sign Language, earning it the Judges' Choice Award as well.

Additionally, three projects were given honorable mentions: Megapop for its coral reef creation game Life Below, Birmingham City University for its multiplayer stroke recovery game ReelConnect, and Mr. iO Studios for Sami, a platformer aimed at enhancing mental health.

This year, Unity also launched the Student Award category, recognizing two projects: Rephobia's VR exposure platform, developed by a Belfast-based startup, and RCareWorld, a project from Cornell University's Emprise Lab.
