Unity details assistance for developers approved for Nintendo Switch 2

Unity has announced its commitment to backing game developers with "official support for Nintendo Switch 2."
The company detailed that the support will soon be accessible through a Unity 6 add-on, exclusively for verified Nintendo developers, reinforcing Unity's dedication to assisting creators in realizing their ideas across numerous platforms.
Developers working with Nintendo's next-generation console can anticipate optimized rendering and performance, comprehensive multiplayer functionalities, and improved development resources.
Additionally, Unity is focused on "facilitating the transition of existing Nintendo Switch games" to the new console by "ensuring total compatibility with essential features in Unity 6," which encompasses upgraded input systems, build profiles, and the incremental build pipeline.
"We’re thrilled to provide official backing for Nintendo Switch 2," remarked Matthew Bromberg, Unity's CEO and President.
"Unity has rigorously tested our support for Nintendo Switch 2 by actively participating in the development of a launch day title. The insights gained during this process will inform future advancements of the Unity engine, benefiting developers crafting new titles for this platform."
