Unity has named Alex Blum as its new Chief Operating Officer

Unity has named Alex Blum as its new chief operating officer.

According to a regulatory document, Blum's compensation package includes a yearly salary of $525,000 and a target bonus amounting to 75% of his salary, depending on Unity's 2024 corporate bonus criteria.

Additionally, in February 2025, he will earn a $25,000 bonus.

Blum joined Unity as SVP of corporate development in July 2024, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

The appointment marks another change in Unity's executive team, coming right after the hiring of former King executive Steve Collins as Chief Technology Officer.

Collins steps into the CTO role previously held by Marc Whitten, who departed in June. Whitten was responsible for Unity's Create segment technology, while Collins will oversee technology for the entire organization.
