This was communicated in a letter to employees by ByteDance’s Head of HR, Hua Wei, and the new head of the gaming division, Zhang Yunfan.
The top managers stated that the ByteDance gaming division will now adhere to a long-term approach and show more patience in development. They emphasized that the company will continue to consider game metrics but will pay slightly less attention to them than before.
Additionally, ByteDance plans to establish a more centralized management system for its gaming business and improve the reporting structure within it.
