Import substitution of software for game development will be discussed in Russia

Last year, Russian game developers had difficulties with access to foreign software and a shortage of domestic analogues. The Gaming Association A PRIORI decided to deal with the problem.

Within the framework of the association, a working group will be created on the development and import substitution of specialized software. It will be led by the head of the project on the Russian game engine Nau Engine Alexander Myasishchev.

“We want to determine, together with experts, the current problems of using software in game development, formulate a request and work it out with those proposals that are on the market, and in case of their absence, create a basis for their appearance,” said Alexander Mikheev, CEO of A PRIORI, in an interview with TASS.

Mikheev added that the first task of the working group will be to create a roadmap for the Nau Engine.
