Kotaku editor wrote a book about the difficulties of game development

Kotaku news editor Jason Schreier has released a book Blood, Sweat and Pixels, in which he collected stories about the creation of 10 significant game projects.

On the pages of Blood, Sweat and Pixels, the authors of Witcher 3, Uncharted 4, Destiny, Shovel Knight, Stardew Valley and other famous titles talk about their encounters with professional crises of various kinds: from identifying problems in gameplay to finding a balance between work and personal life.

Jason Schreier’s book shows that game dev is a difficult business in which no one is immune from failures. The author hopes that thanks to his work, novice developers will learn from their mistakes, and not repeat the mistakes of their predecessors.

In Russia, “Sweat, blood and Pixels” will be presented by the publishing house “Eksmo”, the book is scheduled for release in 2018.
