The opening of the accelerator was announced by the head of the company Tim Cook, who is currently in India. This is the first initiative of this kind from Apple.

The center “will support talented engineers and accelerate the growth of the local iOS developer community,” according to an official press release. Accelerator employees will evaluate applications of local developers and advise on the use of the Swift programming language.

“India is home to one of the most vibrant and enterprising iOS developer communities in the world,” Cook commented on the news.

The technology center will be launched in early 2017.

Note that the fact that Apple is building a center for communication with developers confirms the idea of Eric Seufert: the company is developing towards a more simplified and friendly system. The purpose of this development is to focus on earning from services.
