Unity has released an experimental build of its editor for Linux
Game developers who prefer Linux to other operating systems have been given the opportunity to create projects on Unity within their favorite OS.
Yesterday, on August 26, Natosha Bard, a leading software developer at Unity, announced in a corporate blog the release of an experimental version of the Linux version of the engine.
However, his future support is not yet guaranteed. Unity will make a decision on whether to support the Linux version on a par with the Mac and Windows versions, based on how the new product will be accepted.
Unity for Linux only works on 64-bit Ubuntu from version 12.04 and higher.
