Abertay invested $7.3 million in the creation of the School of Design and Computer Science. Most of the funds were taken from the university budget, but the Scottish Funding Council also invested in the project.

Today’s opening of the school was attended by the Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Finance and Economy Derek Mackay (Derek Mackay). He noted that the authorities consider the event an important investment in the future of the country.

  • experimental game design and hacker projects;
  • learning digital art;
  • XR-the direction of experiments with virtual, augmented and mixed reality;
  • technological projects with tracking of the player’s gaze and movements.

Students will also be provided with PlayStation development tools, as Abertay has been cooperating with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a long time.

The university also heads the project “Innovations in Games and Media Industry” (InGame), which costs almost $16 million. The project affects not only the Scottish, but also the entire British gaming industry.

In addition, Abertay produces the best specialists in the field of video games and cybersecurity, notes Gamesindustry.biz . Recently, the demand for university education from residents of China, India and North America has been growing.
