A series of courses and quizzes have appeared on the Unreal Online Learning learning portal
Epic Games has updated its Unreal Online Learning learning portal, adding a number of new features. They are intended for both beginners in working with Unreal Engine and experienced developers.
When working on new features, the company relied on the wishes of users. And now Unreal Online Learning users have the following features:
Take a series of courses on a specific topic and/or create your own series
A series of free courses on a variety of profiles have appeared on the portal. This makes it easier for a novice developer to understand where to start learning. He can choose a series of videos “Getting Started with Unreal Engine”, “Working with Blueprints”, “How to become an architectural Visualizer” and others related to a specific role or process.
The site also has filters for simplified search of courses in the catalog and the ability to add them to favorites. Thanks to this, the developer can independently create a series of training courses.
Monitor your progress
The courses are divided into short tracks of 10-15 minutes each. Now the system remembers at what point the user interrupted the training, and reproduces the rest of the course at the next start.
On the main screen of Unreal Online Learning, the user will be able to track all the courses being taken and specify the percentage of those completed.
For completing a series of courses, the user will earn points and achievement badges, which will also be displayed in the menu. He will be able to share these achievements on social networks and LinkedIn. It is also possible to create a personal achievement page with a photo of the developer — that is, a simplified resume.
Test your knowledge
The system will offer the user quizzes and verification tests as they learn. Thanks to this, it is possible to identify topics that have not been fully assimilated and study them anew.
Unreal Online Learning was launched in August last year. The site can be positioned not only as a catalog of tutorials for game dev specialists, but also as a fairly extensive knowledge base on the Unreal Engine.
