Results of the international IT conference Get IT! 2013
On April 27, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted the third Get IT conference! in Ukraine. More than 500 participants gathered in the walls of KHNURE: game developers, employees of experienced game studios, publishers and just novice programmers, designers and students.
The most anticipated guest among the speakers this year was Game Dev Evangelist, who has been working in the field of casual game development since the last century, Vitaly Khit, with a report “Development of multiplatform casual games: rakes, bumps, practice”, in which the author shared the experience of hundreds of successfully released games with the younger generation of developers.
It is also worth noting Oleg Akimov’s presentation “Creating art for cross-platform games”, where the stages of creating graphics for games, taking into account development for different platforms, were clearly and in great detail illustrated.
The conference was held with the support of the exclusive sponsor – publisher of mobile and social games, Renatus company. Development and Investment Manager of the company Rostislav Chekmarev made a report “Creating a successful mobile game. Marketing and Publishing”, in which questions were raised about the relationship between the development and marketing processes to create a successful gaming product, but Rostislav’s key message was the desire to cooperate with game developers and the willingness to invest in development at any stage.
With the final report “The Television Revolution. The story of a small but proud console” was made by the PR manager of iLogos, Tatiana Evdokimenko, telling about OUYA – replenishment in the well-known range of PSP, PlayStation and Xbox consoles this spring.
The result for all participants was a lot of positive emotions received from live communication in a professional environment, which allowed not only to share knowledge and experience with colleagues in the gaming industry and ask questions, but also to find business partners.
See you at Get IT! next year! Stay tuned.
