PressEngine unveils The Pre-Show, an in-person event in London highlighting upcoming games
PressEngine, known for its PR and influencer marketing services, is launching an event called The Pre-Show. This in-person gathering will connect developers with media representatives and content creators.
The inaugural event is set for Thursday, November 26, in London, presenting games anticipated to release over the next year. According to PressEngine, over 150 journalists and content creators specializing in various fields are expected to attend.
The aim of the event is to provide an alternative to fully digital showcases, which PressEngine argues have limited interactive time with games and concentrated media attention around seasonal events.
"The industry has become overly dependent on digital streams and remote previews, which diminish genuine interaction for both developers and media," commented Gareth Williams, co-founder of PressEngine.
He emphasized that digital platforms cannot replicate the experience of developers and journalists interacting directly, playing game builds, and forming relationships.
Williams assured that all games featured at the event will have "equal exposure."
PressEngine is offering a complete setup for participants, who only need to "just bring the game." Developers should be aware that space is limited.
Guillotine is coordinating content creators, Renaissance PR is overseeing the media, and Odd Squad Events is organizing the event itself.
