In Moscow, at the "Gaming Industry" conference, the company "1C", Overmobile, and the authors of "No, I'm Not a Human" will be speaking

Very soon — on October 16 — the «Gaming Industry» conference will take place in the capital of Russia. We are sharing some initial details of the event’s program.

While the formal opening of the «Gaming Industry» in Moscow is scheduled for October 16, unofficially everything will begin a bit earlier. The evening before the conference will feature a pre-party where developers and publishers can meet each other and exchange business cards. The meeting place will be the Cosmos VDNH hotel on Prospekt Mira. By the way, the first drink at the pre-party is on the organizers.

The conference itself will be very eventful. A total of 40 presentations are planned across three streams. The upcoming presentations can be tentatively divided into the following thematic blocks: «Opportunities and Niches», «Development», «Mobile», and «Indie».

Let’s touch on some of the speakers:

  • Olga Shkirando, visionary of Trioskaz studio, will talk about the interaction of indie developers with publishers. Notably, Trioskaz recently released the horror game No, I’m not a Human, which has already shown good sales;
  • Olesya Motolyga, producer and screenwriter at Perelesoq studio, will discuss self-publishing and whether publishers are needed at all today;
  • Daniil Kolesnikov, business development manager at HeroCraft, will share the story of creating the game Pirate Arena. He will discuss the company's work on the project and its costs on numerous experiments;
  • Timur Musin, project manager at 1C Company, will present on the topic «Unconventional Approaches to Developing Conventional Games»;
  • Danila Kamenev, head of publishing at Indie GO Fund, will provide advice to independent developers on attracting audience attention to their games and gathering wishlists;
  • Kesha Skirnevsky, head of Kesha Games and founder of «Skazbuka», will share his experience of transitioning to solo development after many years of working in companies. He will also discuss the possibilities of AI employees and how to manage them;
  • industry veteran Oleg Dobrastan, who has worked at Astrum Entertainment, 101XP, Nival, and several other companies, will conduct a workshop. He will share specific examples of crisis management.

We should particularly note a couple of panel discussions. One will be on the topic «What is Happening with the Russian Indie Scene in 2025». It will be moderated by Petr Salnikov — co-founder of Disgusting Men and Book Burner Games, as well as the host of the podcast The House of The Dev. The second discussion will revolve around the best way to start in game development now. It will include representatives from VK Play, Sociaro, Maningame, and Take Top Entertainment.

The conference will also include a developer exhibition. Accompanying it is the indie pitch — a presentation where indie teams will showcase their games to experts. Those wishing to participate in both activities need to apply. Applications for the exhibition can be submitted until October 13, while applications for the indie pitch will close a few days earlier on October 9.

Additionally, the «Gaming Industry» will feature a special expert zone from the educational project WN Academy — «Ask the Expert». Conference guests will be able to ask questions to specialists from various companies and receive individual consultations.

The Moscow «Gaming Industry» will conclude with a grand networking party at the HookahPlace VDNH bar, located at 2nd Ostankinskaya Street, building 3. It's near VDNH, and the bar offers views of the Ostankino Tower.

More details on all aspects of the conference in Moscow can be found on the «Gaming Industry» website.
