In Minsk, at the "Gaming Industry" conference, the creators of Standoff 2, Diplomacy is Not an Option, and "Smuta" will be speaking

Next Wednesday, April 16, the capital of Belarus will host a conference for video game developers and publishers — "Game Industry." We provide detailed information about the upcoming event's program.

There are over 30 presentations planned across three parallel tracks running from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Speakers include representatives from leading Russian-speaking companies closely affiliated with game development.

Below, we highlight some speakers and presentations:

  • Yevgeny Vazhinsky, lead creative producer at Axlebolt, will present "From Concept to a Million Installs: How to Build a Powerful Production Team." He plans to reveal how to streamline the work process to avoid endless revisions.
  • Andrey Belousov, co-founder of Door 407, will share a detailed account of the studio's development, specifically how it has managed to repeatedly overcome crises throughout its history.
  • Yevgeny Mirkin, editor of the gaming division at RuStore, will discuss recent changes in the mobile game development market based on an exclusive study of the gamer audience in the CIS, supplemented with current analytics from foreign sources.
  • Alexey Koptev, founder and CEO of Cyberia Nova, will deliver a presentation titled "From Minin to Minfin. The Story of a Project," focusing on the studio's work on "Smuta."
  • Gulnara Agamova, general director of the autonomous non-profit organization "Agency of Creative Industries" (AKI), will present a session dedicated to the Moscow Game Hub, a cluster for video games and animation.

The roundtable on current trends in 2D graphics work will be a notable event. Titled "Made by AI: 2D Art and UI/UX. How Are Things in 2025, and What Are the Prospects?" it will feature participation by FUNGI studio, Cream.Team, and Lobah.

On a related note, as we mentioned AKI earlier, during the conference, there will be a presentation and evaluation of games by independent developers — Indie Pitch. Here, young teams will present their games to experts from the Agency and Indie GO Fund.

Following the pitch, the jury will select the three best projects, which will share a cash prize fund of $1,500. Their awards will be presented on stage during the conference's closing ceremony.
