Gamescom Asia and the Thailand Game Show have united to create a new event known as Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show.
This new collaboration, set to launch in October, is described by its organizers as combining a robust global business and consumer platform with an exciting, fan-oriented gaming experience.
In their previous formats, Gamescom Asia welcomed over 40,000 participants from 78 countries and 177 exhibitors during 2024. Meanwhile, the Thailand Game Show hosted over 185,000 visitors and had 50 exhibitors.
Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Vice President of Asia Pacific at Koelnmesse, expressed that this partnership is transformative for the gaming industry in the region. He credited Gamescom Asia's growth since its 2021 launch in Singapore, reinforcing Southeast Asia's status as a center for gaming innovation.
With the partnership with Thailand Game Show, Kuepper highlighted the newfound opportunities to connect global gamers with a passionate Southeast Asian gaming community. He noted Bangkok's cultural richness and growing gaming ecosystem as the perfect backdrop for this new venture.
Pongsuk Hiranprueck, founder of Thailand Game Show, echoed the sentiment, viewing the collaboration as a significant advancement for gamers and developers in Thailand. He emphasized the supportive role of the Thai government and the aspiration to elevate Thailand as a leading Asian gaming hub.
The combined event will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 16 to 19, 2025. This multifaceted event will feature a dedicated business area, insightful industry conference sessions, and entertainment zones with the latest AAA releases, indie games, esports, cosplay, exclusive presentations, and live experiences.
Gamescom Asia recently hit a new attendance milestone, drawing 41,013 attendees to its recent Singapore event, a 20% rise from the previous year. Koelnmesse noted that 177 exhibitors attended, up from 136 in 2023.
