Over 500 attendees, developer contest winners, and other results of WN Conference Abu Dhabi'25

Last week, WN Media Group held a conference for games industry professionals in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Here are the key takeaways from the event, which brought together experts and leaders from companies like Mundfish, Ubisoft, Google, AD Gaming, GEM Capital, Razer, AppLovin, and more.

WN Conference Abu Dhabi’25 received positive feedback from both speakers and regular attendees.

Talking about skill-based gaming in a room full of gaming industry leaders, investors, and game developers was an absolute thrill. Safe to say, the energy in the room was incredible, and the conversations that followed were even better.

219 companies participated in the event, of which 58% were game developers or publishers. Other groups include platforms (19%), ad firms (15%), and investors (10%).

WN Conference Abu Dhabi’25 attendees by company type (each company could choose various options)

WN Conference Abu Dhabi’25 brought together 505 people. C-level executives accounted for 64% of the total, followed by business development & sales managers (16%).

As with the last year’s event, the conference was organized in partnership with Abu Dhabi Gaming, a government-led initiative focused on growing the games and esports markets in the UAE.

In addition, WN Conference Abu Dhabi’25 was backed by partners such as Mundfish, GEM Capital, Malpa, Strategy Park, Brightika, RoasUp, hardbit, Infinity Art Solutions, infatica.io, as well as Google, Moloco, Tiktok, Appier, Audiomob, Airbridge, SunStrike, HyperFactory, Subscible, and JustMoby.

GEM Capital sponsored the event’s developer showcase. The winners of the special contest can be seen below:

  • Best Game Design — WorldShards from LowKick Games;
  • Best Art, Grand Prix — Distortion from Game Art Pioneers;
  • Best Narrative — The Cat from The Kingsdom.

It was WN Media Group’s second major conference (and third event overall) in the UAE. The next WN Conference will take place in Berlin on April 4.
