After a successful 2024 fundraising event, Jingle Jam has raised £2.7 million
A charity event known as Jingle Jam has successfully garnered £2.7 million through a fortnight of livestreams, as stated by the organization.
Over 800 personalities, including notable figures like TommyInnit, The Spiffing Brit, Smosh Games, and The Yogscast—which initiated the event in 2011—hosted various streaming sessions to raise these funds.
This year's beneficiaries include eight charities. Autistica received £314,000, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) got £470,000, Cool Earth was given £280,000, Sarcoma UK obtained £269,000, The Trevor Project was allocated £305,000, Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal received £396,000, War Child gained £300,000, and £339,000 went to Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
Donors who contributed at least £35 were rewarded with a bundle of games like Two Point Campus, For The King 2, Shadows of Doubt, and Wildfrost.
From December 1st to the 14th, events included TommyInnit teaming up with Technodad to play Minecraft to support Sarcoma UK. Technodad is the father of Technoblade, who passed away in 2022 due to sarcoma cancer. Other activities featured Smosh Games indulging in karaoke to benefit The Trevor Project, while The Spiffing Brit entertained audiences with Skyrim to aid Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.
Rich Keith, chair of Jingle Jam, expressed gratitude, stating, “A huge thank you to all the viewers who donated generously to such wonderful causes, the developers and publishers who gave their games to the Collection for free and to all the creators who took part in this year’s Jingle Jam, putting together some of the most entertaining streams we’ve seen to date.”
