The next WN Conference will be held in Belgrade on December 7-8
The first details about the upcoming event have been published: It will be held in the capital of Serbia in early December, among the speakers are both veterans of the Western industry and representatives of large local teams. More than 400 companies are expected.
About the event
The upcoming event is the second WN conference in Serbia this year. The first one took place in February. The new one will take place in the same location — the Belgrade Fair complex, formerly one of the largest exhibition venues in Southeastern Europe.
The organizers expect more than 800 participants — top managers, middle managers, business development specialists and gaming specialists representing European companies.
Participants
The lecture program of the event has not yet been published. However, the organizers shared a preliminary list of speakers. Let 's note some of them:
- Raphael Colantonio is the founder of Arkane Studios and the creative director of such games as Dark Messiah: Might and Magic, Dishonored and Prey. Will perform online.
- Johnnemann Nordhagen — co-author of Gone Home and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, also worked on the code for Bioshock and Bioshock 2.
- John Kavanagh — in the nineties and the very beginning of the noughties was the president of Eidos, Ion Storm and Crystal Dynamics.
- Christopher Bergstresser — in the nineties he was responsible for the business development of the western divisions of Sega and Konami, in the tenth he was one of the top managers of Miniclip, who rebuilt its business for mobile.
Representatives of Ebb Software, PLAYSTUDIOS, Two Desperados, MGVC, Bunker VFX, Foxy Voxel and many other companies also confirmed their participation in the role of speakers.
Additionally, there will be closed sessions from the main mobile platforms, as well as a large one-and-a-half-hour Amazon Web Services workshop dedicated to working with AI.
Expo zone, showcase and competition
The exhibition area of the WN Conference Belgrade 2023 will traditionally include stands of sponsors (GEM Capital, Liftoff, Adjust and Strategy Park) and a showcase of game developers for 40 projects.
Important: as usual, all teams whose applications for participation have been accepted will receive one ticket to the conference for free, as well as their own separate stand for showing the project.
Also, one free ticket will be given to the teams that submitted their game to the developer competition (we will write about the competition in a separate publication a little later, follow the news).
Tickets
The ticket price starts from €229. This is the price of an indie ticket without access to parties (this time two pre-parties and a big party are planned at the end of the first day). A ticket with access to the pre-party will cost €449, and a premium ticket will cost €589. Prices will rise closer to the date of the event.
Those who cannot attend in person, but want to communicate with the participants, can purchase an online ticket for €199. We are talking about access to the WN meeting system, within which you can meet and communicate with all the guests of the event, as well as access to streaming lectures from the main hall.
