On August 12-13, a conference for game developers Gamedev Weekend 2023 will be held near Novosibirsk

In August, the Novosibirsk Region will host an open-air for game developers Gamedev Weekend 2023. We tell you about the details of the future event.

The event will take place on the banks of the Ob River in the recreation park “Green Island”.

The event is non-standard. According to the organizers, “the conference is distinguished by a unique open-air format, combining a lecture program with a relaxed atmosphere of a tent city.”

There are few details about the program — it is still being formed. It is only known that lectures will be delivered:

• Maria Kochakova is a game screenwriter, founder of the online school “Narratorika“.
• Slava Gris — developed Fearmonium, Catmaze and Reflection of Mine;
• Sergey Dorokhin — worked as a concept artist on World Of Tanks and Warface;
• Maxim Stepochkin — heads the studio Be Nice games, engaged in playable advertising.

Gamedev Weekend 2023 will host a showcase of game projects (its participants receive tickets for free, you can apply for participation here), and there will also be a networking zone, a job booth, quests, sweepstakes and a party with live music.

Gamedev Weekend takes place annually. The conference was held for the first time in September 2016. The future event is the seventh in a row. The organizers expect that more than 1,000 people from all over Siberia and Russia will visit it.
