To Moscow, at the conference
Two big events of the Russian gaming industry will take place this week: Flash GAMM! Moscow 2012 and the main conference of domestic developers of computer and video games KRI 2012.
Traditionally, both events will be held at the Cosmos Hotel, a stone’s throw from the VDNKh metro station.
We have already written about Flash GAMM, organized by the Ukrainian developer and publisher of gaming applications Absolutist Ltd.. Let’s just note that one of the central events of this conference may well be the speech of Pavel Durov, the creator of the Vkontakte social network, who rarely appears in public.
As for KRI, this year it celebrates its anniversary: the main forum of developers in Russia and neighboring countries turns 10 years old. The tenth international conference of Game Developers will be held from May 18 to 20. It has already announced about 100 lectures and round tables on topics such as the monetization of MMO, the development of applications for iOS, programming, graphics, and so on.
As part of the conference, the organizers promise to open a separate area for business negotiations – the Business Lounge, as well as a Job Fair.
Such companies as 1C, 1C-SoftClub, Autodesk, Gameloft have already announced their participation in CRI 2012, Mail.Ru Games, Nevosoft, Nival, Nvidia, Strategic Music, Unity, Wargaming.Net, ZeptoLab, Intel and many others.
Developers of mobile games and those interested in them will be able to attend these conferences not only to listen to lectures on the secrets of development and marketing on iOS and Android, but also to get acquainted with publishers of mobile applications and even, perhaps, find funding for their projects. For example, the company Nevosoft, which, as we recently wrote, invests $ 2 million in the development of mobile games, plans to meet at FlashGAMM! and CRI with the maximum possible number of teams (to make an appointment, write to Dmitry Lutsenko, the lead producer of Nevosoft, at dmitry.l@nevosoft.ru ).
