Vlad Loktev has been named the chief creator ecosystem officer at Roblox, a move aimed at enhancing ties with the creator community
Roblox has named Vlad Loktev as the new chief creator ecosystem officer in its creator division.
Loktev will take on his new responsibilities starting September 29. His role will focus on enhancing creator success by developing an integrated suite of development tools, managing developer relations, and organizing platform events to fortify Roblox's connections with its creator community.
According to the company, Loktev will be instrumental as Roblox aims to achieve its target of channeling 10% of all gaming content revenue through its ecosystem and distributing it among its creators.
The strength and influence of the creator community have reached new heights. Roblox recently hit a milestone with over 45 million users playing simultaneously, engaging in games such as Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot. The latter set a new global record by amassing 24.2 million concurrent users in a single game session.
Earlier in the month, Roblox unveiled a series of “innovations” in the fields of AI and monetization for creators, reporting that over the past year, creators have generated over $1 billion via the DevEx program.
During the latest Roblox Developers Conference, several initiatives were announced. Among them was an increase in the Roblox Developer Exchange (DevEx) rate by 8.5% for all creators. It was shared that now, 100,000 earned Robux will convert to $380 in cash, as opposed to the previous $350.
