The development team behind Ready or Not, Void Interactive, has ended its association with the game's community manager after controversial remarks concerning the murder of conservative figure Charlie Kirk surfaced on the game's official Discord channel.

According to a report by Kotaku, a community manager called 'Kaminsky' was recently approached to prevent mention of "Charlie Kirk" in the server's chat filters.

Kaminsky responded, "I just did Charlie. Funny you mention that because me and my roommate are literally just talking about him getting shot. All I have to say is: Nothing of value was lost."

A moderator responded, noting that such comments did not represent the organization's official position.

Screenshots of the exchange quickly spread on X, with some users urging the company to respond due to the remarks.

On September 19, 2025, Void Interactive issued a statement via its official X account and Steam, announcing the termination of their relationship with Kaminsky.

The statement declared, "We are aware of comments made by our community manager about a recent traffic event. These statements do not reflect our values or represent our company."

It continued, "We have ended our relationship with this individual and reminded our team of the responsibility we all share when communicating on public platforms."

The statement emphasized that their goal is to maintain a respectful and professional environment for Ready or Not.

When approached by GamesIndustry.biz for more information, including clarification on Kaminsky's employment status, a spokesperson directed them to the Steam statement, affirming that the company stands by what was published there.

Last week, another incident involved Sucker Punch Productions dismissing a senior artist from Ghost of Yotei due to a joke referencing Charlie Kirk, whose assassination occurred on September 10, 2025, during a public appearance.
