BAM has launched a "genetic" game search engine

Developers from the Best Apps Market presented the original search engine for games on the Android platform. It selects suitable applications based on the specific desires of the user.

Finding the “right” game on an Android device is not the easiest task. Moreover, at any moment the user’s desires may change. Instead of tower defense, you’ll want something like Bejeweled, or just a zombie game.

Especially for such demanding and knowledgeable users, BAM has developed a mobile search engine Game Genome Project. Its essence at the moment is very simple. The user is asked to choose the type of control, setting, game speed and type of gameplay. Based on the choice made, he receives a selection of applications. In the future, it is planned to increase the number of “features” of projects from the existing 4 to 16 pieces, so it seems that in the end, you will have to pass a whole test.

This is a completely new feature-based search system for gaming applications,” Naranjan Bissoon, a company representative, says. – “Instead of wasting time searching for games based on phrases or charts, you can type, for example, “3d graphics”, “control by tilting the device”, “fast gameplay” – and get a list of those games that you really want to play.”

The project budget at the moment is $ 500 thousand. A full launch is planned in October.

Recall that the authors of another, in our opinion, more curious search service from Xyologic, noted in one of their reports that the users themselves in the vast majority of cases do not even suspect what exactly they want.
