The first video game and animation cluster in Russia has opened applications for residency
Recently, the Creative Industries Agency (CIA) website launched a form through which applications can be submitted for residency in the cluster designed for Moscow-based companies engaged in games and animation.
The Stratos Business Center, where the cluster will be located
Those who pass two selection rounds and become residents will be able to place their office on the cluster's territory of 40,000 square meters, which, in addition to office spaces and coworking areas, will feature:
- exhibition halls;
- motion capture studios;
- recording studios;
- a cinema hall for image correction.
Applications can be submitted until November 30. There are two mandatory conditions—the company/individual entrepreneur must have:
- tax residency in Moscow;
- at least one completed project in their portfolio.
The announcement that a cluster will open at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in 2025 was made this summer. At that time, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that this would be the first such entity in Russia.
The future cluster is supervised and operated by the CIA, which since 2023 has been promoting itself as an institute supporting the Russian video game industry. Notably, the agency launched the "Video Game Factory" accelerator to help young teams find investments.
