Artists organized protests on ArtStation. The reason is that the site refused to ban the art created by neural networks
Recently, artists have been actively expressing dissatisfaction with the situation on ArtStation. They are not satisfied that due to the popularity of neural networks like Midjourney, the site was flooded with generated AI art. Yesterday, ArtStation reacted to what was happening, but its response only added fuel to the fire.
On December 14, ArtStation announced that it was not going to ban content created by neural networks. The only concession that the site agrees to make is the addition of new tags that will allow artists to prohibit the use of their work for training neural networks.
Now artists are massively publishing art with the words “No to AI-generated images” and calling for a boycott of ArtStation.
