WSJ: Tens of thousands of engineers, programmers, artists and scientists have come to Serbia from Russia in recent months
Preliminary results of Russian emigration to Serbia were shared by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). There are some interesting figures.
So, according to the material:
More than 700 Russian-related companies have opened their branches in Serbia;
▫️since February, 1,500 Russians have opened new companies in the country;
According to officials, from 50 to 100 thousand people from Russia have entered Serbia since the beginning of the conflict;
how many of them relate to IT is not specified, however, the WSJ writes that “tens of thousands of engineers, programmers, businessmen, artists and scientists have arrived”
Luxoft software company has moved 1,000 employees from Russia to Belgrade, and the same number is in the process of relocation;
Wargaming transported 300 people from St. Petersburg to Serbia.
