Newzoo: Gaming revenues in the Southeast Asian region will double by 2017
Gaming market revenues in Southeast Asia have already reached $1.1 billion and will double by 2017, Newzoo claims.
In its research, the analytical company focused on the defining countries of the region – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. They own 99% of the revenue. The cumulative average annual growth rate of the region is 28.8%. Taking into account its features – a relatively high level of urbanization of the population, its demography – it is possible, according to Newzoo, to say with confidence that the region has a huge potential.
