Newzoo: Southeast Asia is a more promising region than Latin America and Eastern Europe
Newzoo pleased with another infographic. This time, the company compared the regional gaming markets of developing countries: Latin America, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
The advertising company compared the population, the number of Internet users, the number of players, the gaming revenue of locations and the CAGR (average annual growth rate taking into account the compound percentage) of the latter. And I came to the conclusion that, surprise (sic), the fastest-growing gaming market (not mobile, but generally across all platforms) is the Southeast Asian market, although it still lags behind in terms of revenue and the number of players.
But, you know, given the level of Internet penetration in Asia (more precisely, the number of people using it), which is 25% of the total population, then we can assume that in the foreseeable future (along with the level of penetration) it is quite possible to expect a serious increase in the number of gamers.
Yes, 97% of the revenues from the Southeast Asian gaming market are responsible for: Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
