American iOS gaming Market (2nd week of 2014)
After a long break, we are resuming the weekly publication of the weekly gaming charts from Distimo. All the latest information on changes in the free, paid and cash tops of the USA.
We remind you that Distimo publishes total data on downloads and earnings of applications for a WEEK with a lag, respectively, of one week.
Free top
There are two newcomers in the free top: in the first place is the ugly PAC-MAN Lite from NAMCO BANDAI Games, which by some miracle got quite a decent rating of 4.2 stars. Also, Glu Mobile’s RoboCop got off to a great start, which, however, the gaming press met rather coldly (65 on metacritic.com ).
Also, it is impossible not to note a powerful jump to 14 positions at once Farm Heroes Saga by King. It seems to us that this is exactly the game that King has particularly high hopes for now.
Paid top
Here a week ago sat Am-Yum, who, however, still holds a top-3. Otherwise, the top is devoid of surprises: Minecraft is by some miracle almost at the top of the top, behind it Heads Up!, which so far no one has been able to really bend. Ski Safari: Adventure Time has a good position, which is largely based on the popularity of the Adventure Time series.
By the way, what is interesting: despite Apple’s desire to push expensive paid applications into the top, the company does not really succeed. Games “for a buck” still dominate the paid top.
Cash top
The cash register is the most critical top for many, but here’s the bad luck, it’s also the most boring. Changes in it are very rare, if we are, of course, talking about the box office top ten. But this time we were in for a surprise – The Sims FreePlay, released by EA back in 2011, turned out to be in the top ten. Although, if you trace the history of the project, it has been included in the box office top 40 games in the USA throughout its history. So it’s not a big miracle to call it.
