Top Free Apps

The situation here is quite amusing, as casual games unexpectedly rose in rank, showing excellent results on the App Store. We’re talking about Hardest Game Ever 2 and Little Dentist (the latter has been removed for some reason). The former reached the second spot in the top, while the latter jumped to fourth place, climbing 64 positions.

Also performing well is a game with an unmistakable name, Fart Sound Free. It ranks eighth, with its number of downloads surpassing the 1 million mark. In other words, learn how to create games for the undemanding crowd. 

In tenth place is another newcomer to the free apps chart – Megapolis by Social Quantum. Having collected substantial revenue, the project seems to aim to reach as many users as possible. And, you know, judging by the chart, it's doing quite well.

Top Paid Apps

World of Goo continued its victorious march to the top of the chart (thanks to a one-dollar discount). Over the week, the project climbed six positions, surpassing Temple Run: Oz, Fruit Ninja, and even Where's My Water?. Now 2D BOY's creation holds the bronze in the paid apps chart.

Just like on the App Store, Sonic The Hedgehog burst into the paid chart (albeit a week late). The port of the original "that very" Sonic jumped a significant 40 places, knocking Wipeout out of the top.

The third major change in the chart is the return of Osmos HD. The game, priced at a solid $2.99 by Google Play standards, is now in eighth place. Are microorganisms becoming trendy again?

Top Grossing Apps

Here, only two things are notable: Rage of Bahamut capturing third place (CSR Racing slid down to seventh in one week) and the fifth position for Megapolis. The game from our compatriots jumped 8 “slots.”
