The American Google Play gaming market for the week (13.05 – 19.05)

The latest information on the leaders of the American Google Play games market for the week (13.05 – 19.05) from Distimo: tops of free, paid and cash applications in one material.

We remind you that Distimo publishes total data on downloads and earnings of applications for a WEEK with a lag, respectively, of one week. More or less in detail, as a rule, we cover only the first three positions in Free, Paid and Grossing tops on Google Play. We also pay attention to the big jumps in positions (a la, the game has risen in the top by 1000 “divisions”) and curious newcomers.

Top Free Apps

The main change in the top is the jump of Bejeweled Blitz to the second place (this is from the eighth). The tournament version of the PopCap game has moved Subway Surfers to the third position, Candy Crush Saga is still in the first place (King, they say, pray for this game, they did not expect such success). Temple Run 2 retained the 4th position in the top, but Angry Birds Friends lost two “points” and ended up in fifth.

In sixth place, a newcomer appeared – a scary three-dimensional runner Run (a port of the flash game of the same name) from Albino Blacksheep. Despite the primitive graphics, the project took a very curious approach to the design. The fact is that the track along which the main character runs unfolds in four planes at once. If a player sees a hole in the floor ahead, he can simply run to the wall or ceiling instead of jumping.

Another newcomer to the top of free apps is the equally budget Lie Detector Polygon from Pancake Apps. The developers claim that the application reads through the touch screen (sic!) blood pressure, pulse and even finger temperature. Based on the collected data, it determines whether the person who touched the screen is telling the truth or a lie. The fact that the number of downloads of this application is approaching 5 million, and the number of five-star user reviews has grown to 1,700, one can only wonder at the credulity of users.

Top Paid Apps

The first two positions for the week have not changed: the first place is for Minecraft – Pocket Edition from Mojang, the second place is for Need for Speed Most Wanted by Electronic Arts. But then it’s more interesting: in the wake of the fuss around the social version of Plants vs. Zombies, the mobile original rose slightly in the top. He then closed the top 3 paid apps for Google Play, dropping to fourth place Where’s My Water?

After reducing the price from $1.99 to $0.99 in the top ten paid games for Google Play, Wipeout platformer, created based on the show of the same name, was in 6th place, jumping 15 positions up. A more substantial discount (from $4.99 to $0.99) allowed World of Goo to rise by 19 positions and take 9th place.

Ruzzle, in turn, finally left the top. Now the MAG Interactive game is in 11th place.

Top Cash Register applications

7 out of 10 games remained in their place. The first three, we recall, looks like this: Candy Crush Saga is in the first place, MARVEL War of Heroes from Mobage is perched behind it, and CSR Racing is already behind it.

As for the changes, first of all, Slotomania – slot machines from Playtika received +1 “point”. Now the game is in 7th place. It is followed by the top Slot City – slot machines from Dragonplay.

Yes, Blood Brothers lost three positions in a week. It closes the 10 leaders of the box office top of the American Google Play.
