EA Sports FC 27 has already become the highest-grossing paid new release of 2026, according to analytics
On September 25, Electronic Arts released the newest installment in their line of football simulators, EA Sports FC 27, into full release. The title had an exceptionally impressive start and has already generated more revenue on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox than any other paid game released in 2026.

Analytical company Alinea Analytics reported on the success of EA Sports FC 27. According to their estimates, the gross revenue of the football simulator reached $714.1 million, with sales of 7.9 million copies.
The analysts note that the game is most popular on PlayStation, accounting for 77.1% of the sold copies. Xbox follows with a share of 15.9%, while Steam accounts for only 7%.
Notably, half of all EA Sports FC 27 copies were sold even before the game's full release — specifically, 4 million copies worth $400 million. This was influenced by early access, which began on September 18 for owners of the ultimate edition.
Electronic Arts itself has not yet shared the results of EA Sports FC 27, so it's difficult to say how accurate the analysts' estimates are.
