The only non-Asian publisher in the top 10 was Roblox. Its headquarters are located in the USA.

Most of the top publishers, writes Sensor Tower, are based in China, with four of them calling it home. Another three companies are operating out of Japan, while two hail from South Korea.

Specifically, Sony took first place in the August chart of mobile game publishers with the fastest-growing IAP revenue. Analysts did not specify its total earnings in mobile for the month, but noted that compared to July, its revenue increased by $26.7 million or 84%. According to Sensor Tower, Sony achieved this growth due to LiveOps activities celebrating the 11th anniversary of Fate/Grand Order.

Next on the chart was Microfun (publisher of Gossip Harbor and Flambé: Merge & Cook), which increased its IAP revenue by $16.8 million over the month. Century Games rounded out the top three with a growth of $12.3 million. The latter recently released two new games — Lordrush and Hotel Legacy.
