Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has already made nearly $6 million on Steam — analytics
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has a better chance of having a strong start compared to last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, according to Alinea Analytics. Analysts have observed that during the pre-order stage, the shooter is enjoying quite a decent demand on Steam.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
As noted by the analysts, by the second half of August, the Steam version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was pre-ordered 105,000 times. This has already generated a revenue of $5.9 million for the game even before its release.
The wishlist situation is slightly worse — analysts counted 61,000 wishlists on Steam. However, according to Alinea Analytics, this outcome was expected for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The fact is that the shooter has been available for pre-order since its announcement, so the most interested gamers chose to purchase it outright rather than add it to their wishlist.
Interestingly, China is the largest market for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in terms of wishlists on Steam. According to the analysts, one-fifth of all additions to the game's wishlist on the platform currently come from Chinese residents.
The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for October 23, 2026, on PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
