Analytics: Windrose entered the top 5 highest-grossing games of April in the US
Analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana shared on the social network Bluesky his insights on how April turned out for the gaming market in the US. He provided both general data and a chart of the most successful games, among which the pirate survival game Windrose from Uzbekistan's Kraken Express was included.

- According to Circana estimates, last month Americans spent $4.25 billion on video games, hardware, and accessories. Compared to April 2025, their spending increased by 3%.
- The majority of spending went to video games—$3.83 billion. An increase of 2%.
- The highest-grossing game of April was the life simulator Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which Nintendo released on April 16. The new release also took ninth place in the year-to-date top. Piscatella suggests that by the end of April, it earned approximately $41 million in the US.
- The second place in the revenue chart was taken by another newcomer, Pragmata. Slightly below it were Windrose and Saros, debuting in fifth and ninth places respectively.
- Sales of gaming hardware in the US rose by 34% to $261 million in April. The leader of the month in terms of both revenue and number of units sold was once again the Nintendo Switch 2.
- At the same time, sales of gaming accessories fell by 5%, totaling $159 million.
