Mobile app analytics company Sensor Tower has announced the acquisition of AppMagic, a firm that specializes in mobile app and game revenue data, for an unspecified sum.

AppMagic, much like Sensor Tower, offers insights into app revenues, download numbers, and market specifics across different regions.

The merger is set to bolster Sensor Tower’s offerings to small and medium enterprises (SMBs) by enhancing the data available to independent developers and mobile studios.

According to Sensor Tower, the inclusion of AppMagic will significantly upgrade its platform’s scope, incorporating a wider range of data across PC, console, and mobile sectors, as well as Live Ops Intelligence.

This acquisition occurs in the wake of Sensor Tower's 2024 acquisition of Data.ai, a deal that led to a workforce reduction of 200 employees.

Oliver Yeh, CEO and co-founder of Sensor Tower, remarked, "We are thrilled to unite AppMagic and Sensor Tower’s teams, technology, and products to create an SMB offering that will assist all phases within the mobile app and gaming sectors."

Max Samorukov, CEO and founder of AppMagic, noted that joining Sensor Tower will provide AppMagic's clients with access to enhanced datasets and a more comprehensive market analysis.

"This collaboration represents a significant advancement for those aiming to navigate market trends and drive growth," he stated.
