Mobile App Market in Europe

Here are some figures on the mobile application market, announced at the Casual Connect conference held in Kiev last week.

After a long period of stagnation, the European mobile app market has finally begun to catch up with the US in terms of smartphone distribution, app downloads and profit volumes.

In the period from January 2011 to July, the number of downloads on iPhone, iPad, Android has grown significantly. In particular, for iPad and Android, the indicators have doubled on average.

According to the latest data, European iOS and Android users are now downloading more than 500 million apps per month. This is about two-thirds of the volume of the US market, and these figures continue to grow constantly.
