Analytics: More than 500,000 Steam users have pre-ordered Borderlands 4
The release of Borderlands 4 is just around the corner, and in anticipation, the head of the analytics firm Alinea Analytics, Rickard Linder, has estimated the pre-orders of the title on Steam. According to him, more than half a million people have already purchased the game.

Linder agreed with Gearbox Entertainment's head Randy Pitchford that at this rate, the franchise's total sales could soon break through the 100 million copies mark. According to official figures, they currently stand at 94 million copies.
Linder's numbers are confirmed by statistics from another analytics service, Gamalytic. According to its averaged estimates, as of today, Borderlands 4 has gathered 540.7 thousand pre-orders on Steam, bringing in revenue of $37.8 million. The number of wishlists for the game's Steam version is estimated by the service at 2 million.
Borderlands 4 will be released on September 11 for PC and on September 12 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later, on October 3.
