How much top developers earn in Roblox — official data
At the 2025 Roblox Developer Conference, Roblox’s Senior Vice President Nick Tornow shared information about the annual revenue of the most successful developers on the platform. He refrained from naming names but disclosed the average amounts.
In his speech, Tornow presented figures for June 2024 to July 2025.
First, the top executive covered the top 1,000 developers on Roblox by revenue. He stated that the teams on this list earned an average of $980,000 over 12 months. Compared to 2020, their income increased 2.9 times.
The revenue of developers in the top 100 also rose significantly—by 2.8 times over five years. They earned an average of $7 million per year.
Then, Tornow narrowed the focus to only the ten best developers on Roblox. According to him, their average annual revenue was $38.5 million, which is 2.2 times higher than in 2020.
Separately, in Tornow’s presentation, it is noted that from June 2024 to July 2025, the median payments to developers on Roblox amounted to $1,440.
Tornow did not state how much Roblox spent in total on payments to game creators for the platform during this time. However, earlier, Roblox’s management indicated in financial documents that payments from April 2024 to March 2025 exceeded one billion dollars—this amount was shared among 29,000 developers.
