A week ago, journalist and producer Geoff Keighley hosted Opening Night Live — the ceremony that kicked off Gamescom 2025. The analytical firm VG Insights reported which games mentioned during the event garnered the most wishlists from August 18 to August 23.

According to the numbers, gamers were most interested in the new LEGO Batman adventure from TT Games, set to release in 2026. Analysts calculated that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was added to wishlists 183,000 times.

Below is the full top-9 list of games showcased at Opening Night Live 2025 by the number of wishlist additions from August 18 to August 23:

1. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight — 183,000 wishlists;
2. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV — 159,000 wishlists;
3. Valor Mortis — 103,000 wishlists;
4. Denshattack! — 67,000 wishlists;
5. Resident Evil Requiem — 66,000 wishlists;
6. Road Kings — 62,000 wishlists;
7. Long Gone — 61,000 wishlists;
8. ZERO PARADES — 60,000 wishlists;
9. Cronos: The New Dawn — 56,000 wishlists.

Please note: analysts revealed the data only for these six days. If covering a broader period, some games would have significantly more wishlists.

For example, Capcom announced back in late June that Resident Evil Requiem had been added to wishlists over a million times, making the lists gained from the ceremony just a relatively small addition. Also, the creators of Long Gone recently boasted that their game had surpassed 200,000 wishlists over time.
