Newzoo Charts: Fortnite Maintains Revenue and MAUs in July 2025

In July, Fortnite emerged as the leading title in the PC and console games market, dominating in both player engagement and earnings. Research conducted by Newzoo positioned the newly launched EA Sports College Football 26 in close pursuit, holding the second position. Notably, Ready or Not, a first-person shooter from Void Interactive, experienced a dramatic surge, climbing over 100 ranks to claim third following its introduction to console platforms.

July also saw significant sales performances from several games. Bungie's Destiny 2 witnessed a remarkable climb, moving up 23 positions to join the top 10. Marvel Rivals and EA's The Sims saw upward movements as well. Popular titles like CS:GO, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and EA Sports FC 25 maintained their strong presence. EA Sports College Football 26's entry into the top 10 was matched only by Nintendo's new release, Donkey Kong Bananza, which launched exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

In terms of player activity, Fortnite continued to lead, with Black Ops 6 and Roblox completing the top three. The list remained largely unchanged from the previous month.

Newzoo highlighted additional noteworthy trends from July. In particular, Peak demonstrated continued growth after launch, bolstered by strategic pricing and consistent game support. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2, whilst not making it back to the top 10, saw significant improvements on the charts after receiving major updates, advancing by 20 and 6 places, respectively.
