Recent statistics highlight the top third-party games that premiered with the Switch 2 on June 5, with "Deltarune" and "Fortnite" at the forefront.

According to Newzoo product manager Max Otten, digital sales insights, provided to GamesIndustry.biz, were drawn from their Game Performance Monitor for titles launched on the Switch 2 in June 2025. This information encompasses only digital downloads on the US eShop, with no inclusion of physical sales figures.

The most sold third-party Switch 2 titles in June were:

  1. Deltarune
  2. Hogwarts Legacy
  3. Fast Fusion
  4. Cyberpunk 2077
  5. Split Fiction
  6. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
  7. Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster
  8. Street Fighter 6
  9. Hitman World of Assassination
  10. Yakuza 0
  11. Sid Meier's Civilization 7
  12. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
  13. Survival Kids
  14. Sonic X Shadow Generations

"Deltarune" leads in sales, followed by "Hogwarts Legacy," which was available on the previous Switch and got a Switch 2 version on June 5. Those with the original version could upgrade for $10. Notably, Newzoo excluded upgrade packs from unit sales for "Hogwarts Legacy" as they classify them under DLC, yet included them for revenue totals.

Towards the bottom of sales rankings are "Sonic X Shadow Generations" and "Survival Kids," the latter being Unity's first game developed in 20 years and priced at $49.99. "Survival Kids" uniquely allows shared play across multiple Switch 2 consoles via GameShare with one game copy.

"Cyberpunk 2077" features prominently within the top five bestsellers. Surprising many, "Fast Fusion," a racing title exclusive to Switch 2, outperformed "Cyberpunk" in unit sales, though it did not surpass its revenue.

Revenue does not always correlate with sales numbers: despite higher unit sales, "Fast Fusion" did not surpass "Cyberpunk" in income.

By total revenue on the US eShop, the ranking of third-party Switch 2 launches is:

  1. Fortnite
  2. Deltarune
  3. Cyberpunk 2077
  4. Hogwarts Legacy
  5. Split Fiction
  6. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
  7. Streetfighter 6
  8. Fast Fusion
  9. Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster
  10. Sid Meier's Civilization 7
  11. Hitman World of Assassination
  12. Yakuza 0
  13. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
  14. Survival Kids
  15. Sonic X Shadow Generations

Despite not featuring in unit sales numbers as a free-to-play title, "Fortnite" led in revenue generation in June.

"Deltarune" secured the top position in unit sales and came second in revenue totals. Meanwhile, "Survival Kids" and "Sonic X Shadow Generations" consistently rank lowest in both sales and revenue.

Newzoo’s analysis of these third-party titles for Switch 2 indicates that technical enhancements are re-engaging players. Although Nintendo's games still significantly impact the market, the Switch 2 attracts fresh and varied audiences, encouraging growth in non-traditional titles.

Newzoo observed that early results suggest a wide opening for third-party developers not seen on earlier Nintendo systems, particularly for well-crafted, genre-expansive games.
