Forza Horizon 5 became the best-selling new game on PlayStation 5 in 2025 — analytics
The port of Forza Horizon 5 feels great on the PlayStation 5. According to data from Alinea Analytics, the hit racing game from Playground Games and Xbox has sold over 3 million copies on Sony consoles—more than any other new release this year.

The game debuted on the PlayStation 5 in late April—three and a half years after its release on Xbox consoles and PC. As noted by analysts, it immediately showed excellent results. In the first 25 days alone, the PlayStation version of Forza Horizon 5 sold 2 million copies. For comparison, Death Stranding 2 sold a million copies on PlayStation 5 during the same period.
Analysts also revealed the current sales figures for Forza Horizon 5 on other platforms. According to their data, the game sold 6.5 million copies on Steam. Additionally, 45.5 million people have accessed it on Xbox One and Series, mostly through the Game Pass subscription service.
The combined revenue from the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of Forza Horizon 5 was estimated to be nearly $400 million by analysts. They did not disclose the earnings from Xbox sales.
