Sales of Peak reached 4.5 million copies, with Russia being the second largest market
The cooperative climbing simulator, Peak, continues to sell excellently. The milestone of surpassing 4.5 million copies sold was discussed by Aggro Crab—one of the two studios that developed the game—in a conversation with Simon Carless, the founder of GameDiscoverCo.
Peak
According to the developers, Peak sells best in the USA. Other countries that top the list in terms of game ownership include Russia, the United Kingdom, China, Canada, Brazil, France, Australia, Germany, and Turkey. Aggro Crab did not specify the number of purchases made in each specific country.
Previous milestones for Peak include:
- 100,000 copies — on the release day, June 16;
- 1 million copies — by June 22;
- 2 million copies — by June 25.
Although Peak rightly belongs among indie hits, it only had 29,384 wishlists before its release. As Aggro Crab admits, the studio did not aim to generate much pre-release hype. In fact, the Steam page for Peak appeared just a few days before the release. However, the simulator is now actively played, with a median gameplay time of 3 hours and 53 minutes.
