April 2025 became the second highest-grossing month for Candy Crush Saga in the entire history of AppMagic's observations

In April 2025, the mobile puzzle game Candy Crush Saga earned $108.25 million in net IAP revenue, according to data from AppMagic. As our colleagues from MobileGamer noticed, the service recorded a larger monthly revenue for the game only once — in October 2021, and even then, it was only $38,000 higher.

It should be noted upfront that we do not have the full revenue dynamics of Candy Crush Saga. The game's release took place in 2012, and AppMagic provides statistics starting from 2015. Possibly, there were more profitable months at the launch. Regardless, Candy Crush Saga had its second-best month in at least a decade.

For comparison: in February, Candy Crush Saga's net IAP revenue was $87.17 million, and in March, it equaled $102.25 million.

MobileGamer speculates that the near-record monthly revenue was aided by All Stars — a tournament where game users compete for a large cash prize. This year, the main part of the tournament took place from late March to late April. For the first time in a long time, King promoted the event extensively: All Stars commercials were broadcasted on the radio, aired on television, and even shown in cinemas. According to the marketing vice president of Candy Crush Saga, Luken Aragon, by the end of the promo campaign, the tournament's advertising was expected to achieve 2.3 billion impressions in North America alone.

Aragon told MobileGame that over 15 million people participated in the tournament. This is approximately 7.5% of Candy Crush Saga's monthly active audience, which exceeds 200 million people.

Aragon did not comment on the April revenue surge of Candy Crush Saga but noted an increase in game downloads. According to him, since the start of All Stars, puzzle downloads have increased by 7% worldwide.
