In August, Black Myth Wukong emerged as the most profitable game across six examined regions, according to Newzoo. It also led the PC category for that month and ranked as the third most popular game on PlayStation, following Fortnite and EA Sports Madden NFL 25.

Meanwhile, The First Descendant suffered a substantial revenue plunge from June to August.

Significant increases in active users were noted for Fall Guys, Diablo 4, and World of Warcraft, with increases of 14, 16, and 20 places, respectively. Escape from Tarkov also saw a notable jump of nine positions, marking its highest increase in monthly active users this year.

The engagement for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga considerably rose, aided by its PlayStation Plus availability and a considerable 75% discount on the Nintendo Switch Store by the end of August.
