French publisher Red Art Games has experienced a "cyberattack" resulting in the exposure of player data

The French game publisher Red Art Games has reported being hit by a cyberattack.

According to an email sent out by the company, the breach affected customers' personal information, including names, birthdates, email addresses, delivery addresses, order specifics, and phone contacts.

Despite this, the company reassured its customers that their banking details were not compromised.

"For security reasons, we strongly recommend changing the password associated with your Red Art Games account once our website is operational again, and also updating any similar passwords used on other accounts," the company advised.

"Please be cautious if someone claiming to be from Red Art Games contacts you in the upcoming days, especially if they ask for money, banking information, or personal details," the message added.

In reaction to the breach, the company has temporarily shut down its website to protect its customers, issuing an apology and promising to provide further updates soon.

The attackers behind the breach remain unidentified at this time.

Red Art Games is known for titles such as Have A Nice Death, Lost Ruins, and Promenade.
