With God of War and a few other upcoming ports, Sony continues to expand into the PC market. And the new label called “PlayStation PC” is another sign of it.

PlayStation ports like Days Gone had their publisher changed from PlayStation Mobile to PlayStation PC LLC on Steam, as spotted by VGC.

The new label was filed on April 13, according to the Corporating Wiki listing. This move might be another strong sign of Sony’s ambitions to expand its biggest franchises outside the PlayStation ecosystem.

As analyst Mat Piscatella from the NPD Group noted, “only about 1/3 of PC players in the US owns a PS4, and only 8% own a PS5.” It means that releasing some of its best games on PC is a win-win situation for Sony.

The company has already released PC versions of Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and God of War (2018) are coming to the platform in 2022. Earlier this year, Sony acquired Nixxes Software to help port more PlayStation IPs.
